Infants, children and adolescents with congenital or acquired craniofacial anomalies often experience complex medical problems involving facial appearance, feeding and swallowing, hearing and middle ear infections, speech and breathing, dental and oral-maxillofacial development and psychosocial development.
These problems require innovative, cross-disciplinary care. At the NJ Craniofacial Center of Morristown, a team of specialists from a variety of disciplines collaborate to identify the multifaceted needs of each patient and provide appropriate, individualized short- and long-term medical treatment.
Our multidisciplinary approach, based on The American Cleft Palate—Craniofacial Association (ACPCA) guidelines, improves the health and appearance of our patients and provides patients and their families with education and emotional support. The patient’s primary care physician is apprised of every diagnostic result and treatment decision and is given regular reports on the patient’s progress.
The NJ Craniofacial Center provides comprehensive care for children and adults with craniofacial disorders, and their families. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for our patients through a multi-disciplinary, team approach to the identification, diagnosis and treatment of craniofacial anomalies, whether congenital or acquired. Through the support of our patients, their families, private grants and donations, local and state support, we will continue to develop educational programs, treatment protocols, and lifetime care for our craniofacial patients.
